  1. Short:    Update of ZXAM 2.0b to run correctly over Blizzard 1260

  6. This  is a executable-only update of ZXAM Spectrum Emulator 2.0b, released
  7. to  fix  the  problem  it  had with the new Blizzard 1260 accelerator (the
  8. computer  was completely unusable with the emulator running, as it freezed
  9. the whole system most of the time, affecting even to the emulator itself).
  10. It's  only  the  FULL  GENERIC  executable, because I think that the 68060
  11. doesn't need the FASTER or SPECIAL AGA versions ;-)

  13. The  problem  was with the MOVEP instruction, that was extensively used in
  14. the  original  ZXAM  executables,  but  is  not  implemented  in the 68060
  15. processor, so it must be emulated by soft by the 68060.library. Strangely,
  16. the  problem  appeared  only  with the Blizzard 1260, as the original ZXAM
  17. 2.0b  runned  fine  over the Cyberstorm 4060 accelerator. There seem to be
  18. something strange in the Blizzard 1260, or something exceptionally good in
  19. the Cyberstrom 4060, but now the problem is fixed, so doesn't matter :-)

  21. Please,    get    the    full    distribution    set   of   the   emulator
  22. (misc/emu/ZXAM20b.lha),  that  includes  all the documentation and extras,
  23. and better (faster) versions for 68020/030/040.

  25. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL SPECTRUM FREAKS: Please, sorry for the BIG delay
  26. in  the  release  of  the 128k version. I was really busy during all these
  27. months (I am very busy yet...), so I couldn't dedicate to the emulator all
  28. the time I would like to, but the development of the emulator has NOT been
  29. dropped.

  32. or something simmilar ;-)))))
